This trip, we have a young family traveling with us — Brett and Wendy, veteran Mexico Mission trip participants, are traveling with their two young children. The kids are amazing bus travelers!
We had soccer at the rest areas!
This year, instead of stopping at Cracker Barrel, we headed all the way to the church at Waco. There we were treated to a fantastic dinner prepared by our fearless leader Britt (home made soups, banana bread, salad, etc.) and her kitchen crew Daniel and Bernie.
While they prepared the dinner, the rest of us got settled and even had some time for some games.
Dinner was followed by time in our large group where we talked about "preparing our hearts" for our mission followed by time in our small groups (servant teams).
We capped off the evening with the traditional "hair washing at Waco" followed by lights out.
